Accounts Officer

Full time, 12 month contract position Supportive team environmentLocated in Campbell, free parkingThe Housing Industry Association is Australia’s peak residential building industry body. We are currently seeking to appoint an experienced Accounts Officer to provide support to our finance team located at our national office in Campbell.The Accounts Officer role has a strong customer service focus and will provide support to the Accounts Receivable functions.Key responsibilities include:Process and reconcile receipts and the daily bank statement.Receipt and bank money arising from invoices and credit notes as required.Investigate and process accounts with a credit balance.Process transactions and maintain the debtors’ ledger.Liaise with regional staff to ensure that information is recorded accurately and in a timely manner.Undertake credit checks for new customers.Perform Accounts Receivable end of month processes.Prepare weekly and monthly Direct Debits.Participate in the debt recovery process including the lodgement of delinquent debtors.Prepare and send invoices as required.Reconcile EFT batches.Respond effectively and efficiently to internal and external stakeholders.Accounts payable duties as required.To be successful you will:have experience in accounts receivable and in accounts payablehave demonstrated IT skills using Microsoft Office and, ideally, experience with finance systems including Microsoft Dynamics and WorkPlacepossess excellent communication, organisation and time management skillshave excellent attention to detailhave a demonstrated aptitude for undertaking reconciliationsPosition Description AUD Campbell 2612
