 Work with the Leading Industry AssociationVaried and interesting roleMultiple locationsFull-time or Part-time positions availableFixed-termThe Housing Industry Association is Australia’s peak residential building industry body.  We are seeking an Apprentice Support Officer – NSW Targeted Apprentice Program to deliver mentoring and tutoring support under the NSW LAHC program.  Initially the role will be involved in sourcing eligible participants for the program using established networks. Progressively the role will be involved in providing career options, mentoring and tutoring support to the apprentices and trainees as the program reaches capacity.Key responsibilities include:Participates in sourcing of eligible apprentices and trainees for the ProgramMaintains a structured mentoring and tutoring scheduleConducts mentoring interviews with apprentices and trainees as required and according to established proceduresPlans and delivers academic tutoring supportCoordinates Literacy and Numeracy supportAssists apprentices with student administration and enrolment with their relevant RTOWorks closely with the HIA Apprentices team or employers to ensure a streamlined and efficient enrolment processAssists with the promotion of the Program at Career Markets and Expos and other events such as HIA Trade Nights, Regional Meeting and Information NightsMaintains mentoring and tutoring records according to HIA standard procedures in a timely mannerWorks closely with HIA Apprentices and/or employers to create efficiencies and to improve the experience for the apprentice or traineeTo be successful, you will require:Experience in student pastoral and/or academic supportA self-starterWillingness and ability to travelCurrent driver’s licenseWell-developed listening and communication skillsExperience in a student-facing environmentUnderstanding of WHS principlesWorking with Vulnerable People check in line with State requirementsPosition Description AUD Macquarie Park 2113
