Perform varied and interesting workWork with a leading AssociationFull-time, Townsville locationThe Housing Industry Association (HIA) is Australia’s peak residential building industry body. We are currently seeking a Membership Business Sales Representative to join our North Queensland team. This is a permanent, full-time role located at our office in Townsville.The position services HIA members and prospective members in the regional centres of Townsville, Mackay/ Whitsundays & Rockhampton/ Gladstone and the surrounding areas including Northwest.The Membership Business Sales Representative will have the key responsibility of growing and maximising the value of the Association’s event activities, membership retention, new membership and community awareness.Duties include:An overarching focus on service which guides practices and standards;A focus on sales by:Identifying potential HIA members;Utilising local information and canvasing the region for members;Applying solution selling techniques;Supporting HIA’s National sales strategies and programs;Responding to inquiries about HIA’s products and services;Implement a structured program of contact with current members.Achieving membership recruitment, retention, and region targets;Implementing marketing and promotional strategies;Promoting HIA by attending events and trade shows, industry seminars, and representing HIA within the region;Identifying, securing and maintaining key account relationships with sponsors;Ensuring appropriate record keeping and reporting;Effectively using data bases;Participating as a member of the regional and national sales team;Maintaining a current understanding of industry issues, builders’ registration, licensing requirements and local conditions.The successful person will have:Demonstrated sales experience delivering targeted results;Ability to identify and realise commercial opportunities;Sales planning and territory management experience;Excellent verbal, and written communication skills (including presentation skills, and the ability to liaise with partners/sponsors at a senior level);Computer literacy, with experience using MS Office products and CRM systems;Knowledge of the construction sector or experience with a member organisation;High motivation, with the ability to work in a team environment;A hands on approach, and be results driven;Strong organisational and time management skills.A full job description can be found in the Careers section of our website, Careers at HIA.If you are interested in joining our friendly team please submit your application by 05 May 2022 by clicking on the link to apply.  Position Description AUD Townsville
