Social Media Specialist

Then this might be your 2022 job!We’re looking for an enthusiastic person with a can-do attitude and even a cheeky sense of humour to become apart of a close knit marketing team as our Social Media Specialist.Your primary role will be the management of HIA’s Social Media platforms and ensure that the HIA brand is highly visible and relevant at all times across social channels.Key responsibilities include: Creates & curates quality and well-written content for all media channels.Creates social media publishing schedules.Optimises social presence by continuously improving and analysing the appropriate social data/metrics, insights and best practices.Remains knowledgeable of HIA’s marketing and policy initiatives, major announcements and events.Proactively recommends creative ideas and strategic recommendations for HIA’s social activity.Collaborates with HIA business units to manage HIA’s social campaigns.Enables HIA’s senior staff to establish and build a credible social presence and profile.Builds appropriate, professional, online connections for HIA.Seeks out and identifies prominent influencers and thought leaders in our industry, the government, media and consumer markets.Monitor online conversations, mentions and engagements relating to the HIA brand, HIA members, competitors and industry and transform these into action or insight.Ensures all social media posts, activity and assets are delivered within deadline and within budget.Monitors Social Media engagement and responds accordingly (comments, direct messages etc.).Stays abreast of current social media and digital marketing trends.To be successful, you will require:Business or marketing/communications-related degree.Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar role.Proven experience using social media for business – Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram & Twitter.Experience using social media management tools (i.e. Hootsuite).A strategic and analytical thinker open to challenging the status quo, and driving innovative change.A creative eye with ability to identify & create captivating content.Excellent storytelling, social media copywriting, and communication skills. Video/Photo editing skills would be viewed favourably.Proactive, self-motivated and ability to work both independently and as part of a team.Highly organised with excellent attention to detail.Knowledge of SEO practices and Google Analytics.Ability to write marketing briefs and effectively articulate objectives.Positive attitude, customer-focussed with ability to multi-task and have a collaborative working style.Position Description AUD Macquarie Park 2113
