Macquarie Park locationFriendly, supportive environmentNational organisationThe Housing Industry Association is Australia’s peak residential building industry body.  We are currently seeking a Trainee Administration Assistant to support our Macquarie Park office.    This position is fixed term initially for 12 months and the successful applicant will be required to study towards a Certificate 3 in Business Administration.The focus of this role is to provide general administrative support including reception, stationery sales, customer service, membership services and training administration.Duties include: General office administration duties and assisting with member enquiriesUndertake front Reception relief duties when required including answering inbound calls and walk in enquiriesSupport stationery sales team including taking orders and paymentsAssist with Invoicing and purchase orders as requiredMeeting room/ training room preparation as neededRecording and distributing minutes at meetingsUpdating relevant databasesPreparing correspondence and reports as requiredProviding research assistance on projects as requiredAt peak times provide support to the broader NSW region for events and training or as directed by RED / Deputy REDThe personWe are seeking a person who enjoys working as part of a friendly team and would like to contribute to the smooth running of the office. Enthusiasm, excellent customer service and communication skills are required, as is attention to detail and effective time management. You will require basic computer skills in Microsoft Office and ideally have demonstrated experience in a customer service related position.This is a fantastic opportunity to gain experience in a supportive environment.
