The purpose of the Lead Generation Specialist role is to strengthen the Association by prospecting and generating leads that translate to an increase in HIA membership through meeting sales and retention targets.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Lead Generation
  • Research and identify potential leads and prospects in the residential construction industry through canvasing at industry events, awards, training sessions, sourcing leads online and other sourcing activities
  • Establish and maintain a strong referral network and maintain a CRM database of potential members, which can be translated into sales
  • Conduct outbound calls, emails, texts, and networking, to initiate contact and qualify leads
  • Nurture and build relationships with leads which can be translated into sales
  • Stay up to date with relevant industry trends and market developments which enhance the value of becoming a HIA member
  • Generate and maintain reports on sales activities, lead generation efforts and conversion rates in CRM
  • Collaborate with Business Development Representatives and other Membership employees, to understand their needs and challenges
  • Prepare and organise proposals for potential members
  • Provide administrative support to the sales team 
  • Provide insights and recommendations to the sales team based on market research
