Accounts Payable Officer

Full time, permanent role Supportive team environmentLocated in Campbell, parking availableThe Housing Industry Association is Australia’s peak residential building industry body. We are currently seeking to appoint an experienced Accounts Payable Officer to provide support to our finance team located at our national office in Campbell.The Accounts Payable Officer is responsible for ensuring HIA’s vendor payments are processed accurately and paid on time each week, along with other related ad-hoc duties.Key responsibilities include:Processing of invoices in using "Workplace" Purchase Order System and Great Plains Dynamics accounting system;Performing weekly "EFT" payments run through Great Plains Dynamics (purchasing) including BPAYS, cheque and international supplier payments;Supplier contact and supplier statement reconciliations, download reports;Reconcile and process regional office petty cash claims;Perform some accounts payable related journal entries;Process Manager credit card reconciliations;Assist the finance team with other duties as required, eg motor vehicles, complete credit applications, prepare travel report for payment.To be successful you will:Previous experience with Workplace Purchase Order System or similar PO system;Previous experience with Great Plains Dynamics accounting software (purchasing);Ability to download supplier reports, run accounts systems reports;Previous experience using a business banking payment platform;Well-developed organisational skills;Excellent time management;Ability to work towards and meet deadlines;Strong customer service skills.A full job description can be found in the Careers section of the HIA website, hia.com.au/about-us/careers-at-hia If you are interested in joining the HIA team and believe that, you could excel in this position then please submit your application by 1 June 2022 by clicking on the link to apply.Position Description AUD Canberra 2601
