Our vision remains the same, to be an association that speaks with a united voice on industry issues and creating real change providing quality services at the lowest possible cost, and working with the sector to maintain high standards.What will you be doing?If you have always wanted to use your legal skills, industrial relations experience or building industry knowledge to have a direct and positive impact then this is the job for you.In your role you will directly advise HIA members, over the phone and by email, across a diverse range of legislative and compliance disciplines including employment and industrial relations, contract management and administration, dispute resolution, work health and safety, and builder registration.You will have the opportunity to meet members face-to-face in providing advice, through involvement in committees, as well as the preparation and delivery of training and presentations on key business compliance issues.Supporting and representing the interests of our members is a core value of HIA. In this role you may be given opportunities to assist HIA lobby governments and regulators and formulate policy submissions.Who are you?Are you looking to further your legal career in a hands-on role outside of a traditional law firm? Or is your passion for industrial relations? Perhaps you have experience in a related discipline, involving building contracts or dispute resolution?You are passionate about helping people, enjoy practical problem solving and using your initiative. Being a good communicator is a definite advantage. You will need to have tertiary qualification in legal, industrial relations, construction, or a related discipline.
